Little lies.
I am writing this on the Dell Mini 9 I just bought from secretlondon. Ubuntu 10.04 installed from the USB stick I keep with me for guerilla Ubuntu installs. I am SO ENORMOUSLY HAPPY. I've wanted one of these since they came out, and didn't stop when they were discontinued. It's SO TINY and so JUST THE RIGHT FORM FACTOR. I'm in nerdgasm delight.
(Most annoying thing about a new computer: re-entering all my site passwords in Firefox.)
This is the base model, with 1GB RAM and 8GB flash disk. 2G RAM is £30ish, SSD is stupidly expensive so I'll probably just whack in an SD card. Also has 3G, should I care to avail myself of such. Also, katieastrophe, I'll need another ORG sticker.
patchworkkid is in town, so
valkyriekaren,
cavalorn and I will be celebrating his presence down the Dev tomorrow evening. Wednesday is Freda's third birthday and Thursday is a date with
nyecamden.
Update: Bling shopping list: 2GB memory ~£30, 8-cell non-Dell battery ~£30-40, 32GB SD card ~£50. I'll wait till what it is gets painful enough that I bother, that's how to save money on tech.

Since I got my 13 inch macbook pro I've barely _looked_ at hardware. It is awesome, even without the student discount. Since I got the ipod touch Jobs has had my soul, and I get withdrawal symptoms from lack of iphone.
Send all my love to Freda for Wednesday. 3! 3!

I still don't store passwords on Firefox, I guess old habits die hard. Xmarks seems even more of a security risk, although I use it for bookmarks.
