Yes and yes. In six years they still haven't come up with a use case.

(The current favourite talking point is "but how useful was the Internet at six years? Bitcoin is like email!" Back in reality, both of those took off very like Bitcoin has completely failed to, because they had uses and people leapt upon them.)
