Next Dorkbot: Wednesday 11th June.
Jun. 9th, 2003 07:16 pmJust got the email. I'm sort of annoyed it's only at two days' notice ...
Anyway. The next Dorkbot (remit: "people doing strange things with electricity") is on this Wednesday 11th June at the Boxing Club, Limehouse Town Hall, Commercial Street, nominally starting at 7pm. The last one was ace fun, and I strongly recommend this one to anyone with the faintest trace of geek blood in their veins. Free to wander in. They will sell you bottled b22r (that's like b33r but not as good). I may or may not be attending.

Limehouse DLR from Bank or Tower GatewayBy Bus
15 from Trafalgar Sq / 115 from Aldgate / D6 from Hackney / D3 from Bethnal GreenGet onto Commercial Road and travel East from Aldgate or Whitechapel. Keep going until you pass Limehouse DLR on your right (you go under the DLR train bridge) and you'll see a modern red brick church also on the right, then an ESSO stations on your right, then the library with a statue of Clement Atlee in front of it, then you'll see the Town Hall, with the Limehouse Hawksmoor church behind it. At this point you should get off the bus/out of the car and come ring on the "Boxing Club" bell.
I so need to make myself a 'geek' icon.

Date: 2003-06-09 04:15 pm (UTC)I'm sure we can come up with an appropriately geeky usericon for you. And about time too - you have a paid account, you can have up to ten icons should you so wish!
