I fear I am insufficiently able to slip into the semi-comatose state my job requires.
I have been rereading the fine papers at reciprocality.org. It's a massive expansion of the ideas in The Programmer's Stone (mappers vs. packers - a paper everyone who works in IT should read, by the way). Reciprocality.org is somewhat crackpotty in places, but is generally decently thought-stimulating stuff. Particularly on a Friday at work.
(By the way - the UK Advertising Standards Authority has upheld complaints that there is no proof that ISO9001 does a company any good at all.)
I am also pleased that
sclerotic_rings put in a link to it. That's Paul T. Riddell's popular science weblog, which I highly recommend.
