We shall be putting a sign over the door: Walthamstow Home for Distressed Gentlegoths. Bed, breakfast, Internet. Price: YOUR SOUL. Last night's guests were [livejournal.com profile] erzibet and [livejournal.com profile] arkady. Quorn bolognaise works surprisingly well, though it needs more herbs and spices than the meat equivalent. Tonight may well be [livejournal.com profile] arkady and creamy mushroom pasta.

We is po' (as usual), so it'll be a week of receiving guests and quiet nights in. That's just fine.

Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I shall be attending a concert by Mötörhëäd, and hopefully a festive, gleeful, jovial, lighthearted, mirthful, sprightly, spirited, vivacious, frolicsome and playful party at [livejournal.com profile] flickgc's.

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to two weeks off, with Whitby in the middle.

Camden has remained above a level of suckage? Well, I guess it hasn't descended to the filthy pits of Tottenham.

[once ended up stranded in Walthamstow after a severe cock-up with buses at B-movie...]

Yes, in spite of the kerfluffle in the monastery over the article, I can't help but think it's a good thing for all concerned. She's imparting clue to resistant brains, and making a living doing it. The PHBs come out of it slightly better off than they went in, and therefore slightly less of a hazard to all those around them. How is this bad?

I think they're mad because most of 'em aren't pretty enough to be non-threatening and therefore be able to *also* make US$50/hr patiently answering the same questions over and over.

It's *NOT* a good thing

It's a very very bad thing. a.) It's dishonest. b.) It's an end runaround. Pure weasel move. They won't learn, but they'll think they did. All this just equals more suckage to the IT folks.

(And I would pick yesterday to delete my running man lj pic.)

Hmmmm - I was just wondering this morn whether you'd take me in if I turned up on your doorstep with a pouty bottom lip and a wee sign saying 'help me.'

I can't give you my soul though. I don't have it anymore.....
