Good Lord, what a week. Date with nyecamden on Tuesday. We went to Hampstead Heath for a bit of a wander. Then home to an amazing dinner of baked vegies and chicken, and strawberries in jelly with banana custard for dessert. He's an amazing cook. Then I fixed his computer, setting up the monitor on the XP box. Ubuntu 8.04 on the Eee 701 is very arsey about the second monitor; I'm not entirely convinced 9.04 would do any better.

Interview today, two more booked Monday and Tuesday. Go me! Today is Sysadmin Appreciation Day: GIVE ME MONEY.

Tonight is V-Movie, but yesterday and today arkady has been ill with something not a hundred miles from flu, so I've stayed home to be MAN-man, the Superhero who Can't Ask for Directions. This has involved me doing the cleaning and cooking while the teenagers herd Freda, and trust me when I say that counts as an full unit of domestic helpfulness. The house is looking a little nicer. My back really hates me. I've just enjoyed a much-needed medicinal orange and vodka and am about to add some codeine. Arkady is applying for online Tamiflu, in the hope of being well for Freda's dentist appointment on Wednesday.
