Fighting in built up areas.

[personal profile] arkady spent the day in bed. I got up at the crack of eleven to take Freda out and get Mum's Tamiflu, which the NHS is apparently sprinking across the countryside like candy for free (not the usual prescription charge) if you fill in the right answers on a website. (See the Daily Mash take, those of you with jobs. Just the month for it!)

Taking Freda out on the reins for half an hour's walking around did nothing to exhaust her or get her to settle down once we got home. Mum is not downstairs at her desk, therefore the world is wrong and she's not happy. Older teenager was a star, volunteering to change a nappy unbidden and playing with her sister well beyond the call of duty.

Hitting the shops this afternoon when it was bucketing down was fun too, particularly the bit where I went back after a couple of hundred metres with a soaked and yelling toddler not happy that her trip out had been interrupted. She likes water and really likes rain. I'm not quite so keen.

I am going to sleep very well tonight. SEND BEER.

Lol. I like the Daily Mash take on it, thanks for that. My GP's receptionist was a twit at me when I called about my obvious symptoms, so a scheme is sadly necessary though stupidly done. I was able to have [personal profile] julias (who thankfully was staying with me and had already had it) get the tamiflu for me easily without having to faff with impossibilities of obtaining a GP prescription, signing and IDing it at a pharmacy etc all without being able to leave my bed.
