Just found my notes. Hell, why not.

[livejournal.com profile] mircea is alarmingly photogenic. As is shekhmet [livejournal.com profile] nisaba. Evidence to come.

Thursday: Got up early (after having done each other's hair just the night before) and packed in a hurry. Got to Kings Cross around ten and met our fellow skanky g*ths. Caught a crowded Glasgow train so as to jump off at Darlington. There we found the skanky g*ths again for the Goth Day Out to Middlesbrough and on to Whitbah.

Off the train and went straight to the Co-Op for at least a few days' supplies. (The Co-Op has separate aisles for 'Lager' and 'Beer'. I concur.) Then to the Elsie, where we saw EVERYONE. I think if you want to avoid the bloody goths, you need to get to Whitby the week before or something. [livejournal.com profile] redcountess made it out and EVERYONE wanted to meet her. Back to the cottage we were sharing with [livejournal.com profile] mircea, [livejournal.com profile] crispygoth and [livejournal.com profile] ickle_yuki.

[livejournal.com profile] mircea had a Major Life Event: at the age of twenty-eight, she banged her head on something. For the first time ever! She was so happy.

Friday: Spa. Wandered around failing to buy very much. Liz got spirited away to have extensions put in by [livejournal.com profile] dathedi.

To the Spa for the evening, arriving around 10pm. Liz came on out with the shiny new extensions and a red underbust corset (inherited from [livejournal.com profile] blithespirit). Again, EVERYONE wanted to meet her. My fiancée wife is considerably more popular than I am! I just had the PVC trousers (purchased at the previous Whitby from Morgana Clothing and still going strong! Morgana++), satin shirt and, of course, [livejournal.com profile] excy's cleavage-cam. It makes photography so much more fun when you're actually on a specific mission. And have an excuse.

Saturday: Bizarre Bazaar at the Spaar. Having determined that the water stain on [livejournal.com profile] marnameow's silver skirt looked too bad to wear it out and that drycleaning at an hour's notice was unlikely to be available, I borrowed Liz's lycra mini and hit the Spa on a mission to find the ideal top. Found the * ~ p e r f e c t ~ * thing at one stall, except that I'm not a size 12 girlie. (Nooo!) So I got a PVC T-shirt with lycra back and a purple crop-top to go on top of it at Vagabonds. I originally went for a silver crop-top with mirrors on it, which turned out to be a size 10 ... but which of course would therefore fit [livejournal.com profile] arkady[1], and in fact would go well with her planned outfit for the evening.

[livejournal.com profile] andymariachi and Tatyana decided a day trip to Whitby would be amusing, so they visited Sat afternoon. And it was lovely to see them!

Being certifiably insane, I agreed to bleach and then dye [livejournal.com profile] ickle_yuki's hair. Kelly of course had too much hair for the packet of bleach, so we pretty much only did the front part, then put the red over the lot - from flame-orange at front to deep red at the back. Worked well, I thought.

I made it to the Spa at midnight. Having missed Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. And of course [livejournal.com profile] hirez and [livejournal.com profile] zotz told me how fantastic they were. FUCK! The outfit went down very well indeed. Found [livejournal.com profile] arkady (who had just managed to put a broken [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth to bed) and we got drinks and retreated to the upstairs chill-out room.

Although my outfit went down well enough, I freely admit that [livejournal.com profile] ciphergoth outdid me. I do not have the dedication to my art to employ micropore tape. Thank you.

[livejournal.com profile] allezbleu invited us to the Wasp Factory post-Spa party. On the Meat/Accident scale, this was Roadkill Waiting To Happen. And it did. Imagine about thirty people who all think they're going to get into a small room in a quiet hotel. Best bit was [livejournal.com profile] deathboy's expression as he stood outside, looked up and pointed out what a train wreck this would be. We adjourned to Skinner Street, where we found [livejournal.com profile] marymortis and [livejournal.com profile] princesssulky (I think). Mary was drunk enough to be speaking fluent Glaswegian.

Sunday: Pure dinner (minus [livejournal.com profile] miss_soap, who organised it - appparently she was busy with some bloke she'd met at Slimelight), window shopping for antiques in Striker Street, Elsie, home. Monopoly.

Monday: We had been hoping to do more antique shopping, but Liz was not well enough to go anywhere or do anything, so we played Monopoly again. Saw [livejournal.com profile] arkady off at the train station. Elsie with [livejournal.com profile] edwardscissors and Siani, then [livejournal.com profile] excy and [livejournal.com profile] th3lly. Chicken and chips for dinner. Stopped at a barbecue in Church Street. Telly. Buzzcocks. Bed.

Tuesday: Packed and left. The train from Middlesbrough was of course delayed, so we got to go via York instead. Got back into London and avoided rush hour on the Victoria line by nicking off to Kings Cross Tandoori with [livejournal.com profile] ciphergoth, [livejournal.com profile] ergotia and whoever the third fellow was.

[livejournal.com profile] redcountess: "I've got so many people I need to add to my friends list!"

[1] Note that we were just Good Friends at this time.

My pics (still nowhere near complete); [livejournal.com profile] arkady's pics.
