Edit: I meant to post this to [livejournal.com profile] undergroundgoth; on my own journal, it would ordinarily go in the list at the top of an entry.

So. What criteria do you apply to logging URLs of interest? Respond expansively.

"If I needed to use lots of effort finding the URL in the first place, I may go to the extremes of either bookmarking it or mailing it to myself". So far, the only page I can recall having bookmarked in the last three years is the Swedish Academy Dictionary (though I alost recall the URL, these days), a handy reference for the Swedish language (well, OK, it currently has "A" to "Talkumera" (treating with talcum powder) online).

If I have time and I'm not tired, I'll try to write a proper post around the text, eg. the seabirds post earlier. If I'm just writing a general "what I did today" type post and I have some interesting urls, I'll just put them below the text. If I'm braindead or in a hurry, I'll just post the link.

Depends. On the real actual blogs the link either comes first or last. One which needs an informative build-up, last, something which is just interesting - post link first, put your take on it underneath.

I don't care on LJ, obv.

It really depends on context. If I have something to say regarding the subject material of the URL, I'd base a post around it. However, if it's one of several links that have little or no bearing on the post (and/or each other), I normally put them in a bulletted list at the top of the post.

Links to B-Movie/Whitby photos count as an exampe of the former, as I would normally link to the pages in question as part of the writeup of the event in question; links to random news items count as an example of the latter, though I don't do that very often. I don't necessarily do that to keep a track of a link for myself; I'm more likely to bookmark a page instead though I'd share a link if I thought others would be interested.

Certain URLs I have memorised anyway, but some I actually keep track of in a notebook, updating as necessary.

I asked the creator to make up some stereo pairs when there's time. Then it can be seen in 3d as well as being rendered that way.
