I had a lovely date with [livejournal.com profile] arkady on Friday. A pint at the Dev and dinner at Super Bowl Noodle Bar before returning to St. Albans.

Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] redcountess went to Ikea and bought a shiny new computer desk. We set it up this morning and I'm sitting at it now. It is entirely too nice and I want it.

(It'll get its revenge - we plan to move in four months, meaning I'll have to disassemble and reassemble it.)

We just got new credit cards in the post. The first purchase was half the hosting fee for Rocknerd. My first webspace purchase ever! We want more reliable hosting and a newer version of Slash. Unfortunately, cvs.slashcode.com is down, has been for weeks and no-one seems to give a shit. ARGH. Anyone got pointers to a recent CVS pull or a tarball less than eighteen months old?

(I should probably note here that we do not intend to move to another slashalike, and particularly not on the basis that someone thinks the default page layout is really nice.)

The poll had a lot of public responses, and all but two of the private ones, asking for SEX SEX SEX. ([livejournal.com profile] flickgc, yours requires certain action on your part.) So here's your chance to specify what kind of s*x you want from this journal.

I thought mine was a jerker too, but it curves the other way.

Now there's a statement just begging to be misconstrued....

I'd try asking for a recent tarball or CVS download on the Slashcode mailing list... it's been quite active lately, so there must be people with up to date code out there.

Oh, so it's just the archive that's quiet? The lack of material there and the fact that the Slashcode site hasn't had an update in weeks made me think that maybe everyone involved had died...

Shane@lottadot has offered me tarballs, so hopefully we'll be moving along soon.
