The afternoon world, the bees have stung the softball girls.

To the Dev yesterday afternoon to meet lucybond and cavalorn at long friggin' last. Attending them were redcountess, arkady, valkyriekaren, wechsler, duranorak, olethros and myself. thamshere, dathedi, fross, duster340 and princesssulky also stopped by to wave hi.

Cavalorn and I have determined it's probably a good thing for the world that we live in separate cities. Crikey, he out-talks me. Lucy is unspeakably cute, smart and charming and I risked life and limb by patting her on the head. They love the Dev (fools) and I think have been persuaded of the necessity of more frequent weekend trips to London.

arkady came back with Liz and I to investigate the mystery mould. And, just as the ladder had been too low for me to get into the roof easily, it was way too low for her, a foot shorter, to do so either. So we had dinner and went to bed at 10:30pm and slept for twelve much-needed hours. But she couldn't smell any mould in the roof and it's much better today, though I'll be asking the downstairs neighbour today about recent work on the gutters and if she's noticed anything.

Today is cold but sunny. Liz and I plan a very nice Quiet Sunday In. She has just spotted Wes from Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie playing the Token Canadian in West Wing.

We'd only just met, & also, I was still rather dazed after the big goodbye kiss he'd just given me, if I remember rightly. I do hope he doesn't catch my cold!
