After two years using an underpowered piece of shite which literally thrashed continuously and would literally take a minute to open the apps I use daily, I have a shiny new HPaq DL530 DG781A under my desk (P4-2.66, 512MB) with Windows XP (which hasn't eaten my brane yet) and — this is the good bit — running through the second input of my Sun monitor (a rebranded Sony 20E20) at 1600×1200. Liz has one of these on her home PC. They are that nice.

(Edit: But now they want to replace it with a 17" PC monitor. Me, I'm looking at Jobserve.)

B-Movie tonight. redcountess, arkady and myself shall be attending. It's warming up of late, so this is a good time to break out the straps'n'gauze. Which will fit the Barbarella theme nicely! Mind you, I got three hours' sleep last night.

Everyone else appears to be enjoying an attack of spring hormones too. Good.
