Snap! Snap! Snap!

This Saturday (December 7th) at 1pm, I will be attending a demonstration against the 68 Tottenham Court Road (right next to Goodge St tube) office of the Church of Scientology. More details here.

I haven't bothered with this sort of thing since early 1998, and haven't updated my page on the subject since late 2000. But since I'm here for it, I expect it'll be suitably entertaining and a good and proper way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Also, I don't have to bother organising it myself.

The announcement.

Liz (ladylilith) came over to see David in the UK and have a holiday. And to see how they got along. And whether their relationship (sustained by phone and email for eight months) had any future. And they decided that they did indeed like being around each other, and did indeed love each other, and did indeed want to stay together. And that this would be in the UK. And realised that this requires certain things to get past the fine and dedicated servants of the Home Office. And they approached this idea with great trepidation (having both been there, done that), much thought and discussion of the whole thing (trust us on this one ... really), and how much they wanted this and on what terms ... and they decided it would be a workable idea, and they could keep this together. So consider this the announcement of our engagement. The timing of the event will probably be mid next year, in Australia (David plans to return to Melbourne for a visit around then). There is of course much planning and paperwork to be sorted, but that's the likely time. You may now give us your best wishes and sincere congratulations from the bottom of your hearts.
