I was transported back to 1970s suburban Australia. Without that Dave Graney ambiance to lend an atmosphere of meaning. I think I ate half a cow. I could feel my gut expanding, my heart racing, my blood pressure lifting, my hair falling out and a cricketer moustache and sideburns growing. Left as soon as I could.

Today I have a cold. My IQ is two. My brane is zoning in and out of focus. I think I will try to get some work done and then try to go home.

Tonight we put up our tree and its GAY GAY GAY decorations, including a rainbow-striped mirror ball (possibly the GAYEST object I have EVER seen in my life. You could put this object in the most HETEROSEXUAL space in the WORLD and it would instantly make it OUT, LOUD, PROUD and QUEEAH!), a silver tinsel penguin and a fluffy girly shoe. The decorations were bought from The Pier in Tottenham Court Road and BHS in Oxford Street for about thirty quid, the tree from Argos for £6.74. And it's plastic, but sheds authentically. Lights donated by [livejournal.com profile] ewtikins. Tinsel (pink, purple and silver, of course) ordered online and on its way.

I just bought Liz a television too. 28" widescreen. How's that for tr00 luv. Arrives Friday. The DVD and VCR will have to wait until she returns!

We also got our first Tesco Online order. They didn't fuck it up, and there were two reasonable substitutions. So here's to Tesco Brent Park.
