SNOW!!! (yeah, yeah.)

• The origins of gossip.

About three flakes yesterday, but a veritable SNOW!!!fall in the suburbs this morning. None in Knightsbridge, which is those crucial couple of degrees warmer. I think we need to do something about that pesky temperature range between zero degrees and ten, so that we can have either Spring! or SNOW!!! I am told that Cambridge is doing a lot better. Maybe tomorrow.

Have been slightly under the weather since the weekend - not sure if it's actually something wrong or just exhaustion. Probably just exhaustion.

And I have lost my keyring somewhere. Bah.

My weekend is so booked. From work to home, quick change, Kake's party, stay over on anything resembling a surface, then to Fitzrovia, then to Purple Turtle for the start of androktone's birthday bash, then to dinner with childeric and cronies ... Next Saturday (I think) I am off to B.rm.ngh.m to go visiting. Does anything happen there, and are any of you in the region? Please let me know. Also, feel free remind me of anything else I've committed myself too (e.g. seeing marymortis on Friday). If I only had a brane ...

Update, 1:40pm: SNOW!!! in Knightsbridge after all. w00t! Keyring located as well.

The price of beauty is pain.

The Northern Line was out from Golders Green to Edgware this evening. I'm told it snowed or something. Hundreds of commuters got to get out and wait for buses. So I nicked off to the Indian across the road for dinner, in the hope of waiting it out. No such luck, of course, so I gave up and walked it. Quicker than the buses and cars, too. Gloves on, scarf wrapped around head. (I so needed my hat.) Only half an hour of the icy pavement duckwalk, and I only fell on my arse once. That's my day's exercise for sure.

ali_anarres complained about some stupid bastard going on about the joy of snow on LiveJournal. ewtikins asked if I enjoyed the walk.

I, of course, loudly proclaimed:

"SNOW!!!"

With the waving arms and everything.
