Today we visited far too many pubs and it was too darned hot. But we got a result, and that's what counts.
The reception (or, rather, post-wedding pubbing) will be at the Bell, corner Hoe Street and Forest Road, Walthamstow. It's about fifteen minutes' walk from the Register Office or a quick ride on the 97 or 357 bus (70p fare). The bus comes every fifteen minutes.
Alternately, if you're just coming to the pub, it's also a quick bus ride (by various routes) from the Tube.
All is explained in the map.
Those attending the ceremony need to show at the Register Office at 11:15am sharp. The ceremony is slotted in for 11:30am until 12 noon. Then we will wander off to the bus stop, then to the pub. Nominal time for the reception is 12:45pm, going on as long as it takes (dammit). All are welcome.
The pub jukebox is rubbish, but there is a goth compilation on it; whoever shows up first needs to put about four quid in and schedule the whole thing.
Much *pint*age to teqkiller for the recommendation! We would have liked within walking distance of the Register Office, but everything nearby would be packed on a Saturday afternoon, was way too
pik downmarket or actually didn't want forty-odd thirsty people. Huh?
Tomorrow we go shopping for rings ...
