Hit it! Make it a dead one.
Jul. 3rd, 2005 04:24 pmWalking to the station on Friday evening, arkady and I
passed a gaggle of drunk young chavs. "Ay mate, wot's wiv the shorts?
Can see yer knob stickin' out!" I expect one that showed was a novelty
to her.
Dead and Buried was ace. After Friday's subject line, we of course walked in to "Release The Bats." The Lord Nelson is not too bad as a venue; the
sound is horrible away from the dancefloor and the beer selection is the
usual pish, but the feel was good. It wasn't big on eyecandy (though I did
catch what there was — photos to follow), but the DJs did almost kill
us with their post-punk-in-black excellence. Howdy to mr_eleganza,

_proserpina_ was missed.
The workout regime (sit-ups and leg lifts) has apparently been effective — my stomach muscles now hold themselves in. (If I'd known about this when I was nineteen, I'd be dead of about three hundred social diseases by now. We didn't have condoms in my day.) My overwhelming babeitude worked nicely with the dim lighting. A drunk nineteen-ish girlie told me I was beauuuudiful and was sure I was a film or TV actor and knew my face. (She'd earlier tried to pick up Arkady in the ladies'. We coulda been in there, mate.) And there was the bloke at the bar: "Hello, sir!" Me: "Hello!" (I shook hands in case I knew him. I'm terrible with faces.) "How come all you gofficks are so sexay?" "Uh ... blood of virgins, matey." Hey, I could have picked up a normal with slightly bleached short hair, a white polo shirt and a tan ...
Our local fox came to visit again on Saturday morning! ( I had Arkady's camera to hand ... )
Update: Dead and Buried pics. "Prat in a Hat" was apparently out taking pics of goths to make fun of on a chav site. Feel free to photograph at close range if you see him out.
