Why Wikipedia isn't like Linux. I sent a lengthy message, which Andrew Orlowski represented with some creativity, and the version run almost reflects things I said.

I strongly suggest that anyone answering one of Mr Orlowski's articles in future also sends a copy to the editor directly. I have no idea if it'll make any difference, but at least the editor can't later claim he wasn't aware. Do feel free to link to this entry.

(I foolishly didn't keep a copy — just typed it into the web form and pressed "Go >>" — or I'd put it here. Perhaps if Mr Orlowski reads this he can send a copy back!)
