Yesterday was a writeoff. Happens. Last night, [livejournal.com profile] arkady and I went to the Dev with [livejournal.com profile] hawkeviper and Sarah. I took the Ixus 50 and took about three-quarters of a gigabyte of pictures, on the principle of "just keep shooting, a shot that doesn't suck will happen." More fun with white balance, though best results were with taking white balance off something that was actually white (usually Perseus' shirt). I think I got enough good ones, and if I didn't there's a fifteen-second AVI for [livejournal.com profile] zeke_hubris to extract icons from. Hi to [livejournal.com profile] flavius_m and [livejournal.com profile] pir. snaps )

Way too drunk and then hungover from a mere three pints. What on earth. Also, as an untimely-ripped-from-womb-again nonsmoker, I'm noticing the stuff way too much. I suppose spending the evening next to Gaulois smokers (what happens when you put the English in Normandy) didn't help.

Today we were going to go to Strawberry Fair, but [livejournal.com profile] redcountess is out for the count (boooo). Hopefully meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] medakse later.

Owing to disorganisation on my side and Ph.D. levels of busyness on hers, I won't be meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] medakse this evening and possibly not tomorrow. As it happens, both [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and [livejournal.com profile] arkady are exceedingly unwell (fibro and food poisoning respectively) and I'm somewhat of a zombie myself, so this may be just as well.

I must write an eBay listing for at least one camera this evening, probably an Ixus 430. Full kit, camera in immaculate condition. But my brain is made of cheese. So I would like you to come up with suitable phrases for a listing for me. ANY IDEAS?

I should also start on Diva's Simple Guide to Drunk Goth Photography. How to get reliably good results from tiny cameras when you're smashed yourself. It's not hard, but it took me a while to work out.

And I found this today, which should make this sort of thing a more interesting experience.
