2007: Fatherhood. Good lord. On May 19th, I watched my daughter being born. SPLOOSH! That and the subsequent seven months overshadow everything else ever.

[livejournal.com profile] arkady and Freda went to Wales Friday, and I went down the pub for a lovely dinner date with [livejournal.com profile] hazyjayne, her Ikea haul in tow. [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I spent Saturday hanging out and pottering about tidying the house and eating pizza and watching backed-up videos and ripping CDs. It's good. Liz feels oddly unoccupied not having a Freda to wrangle.

I was going to release the mouse, but there's less rain forecast for Sunday.

My MP3 has not broken yet. You can get hand-rolled firmware for these things. People will hack ANYTHING.

  • Geek horror stories wanted concerning the BANCStar programming language. Solid references would be nice too. I wrote that article on Saturday for amusement's sake and would like to fatten it up.

  • Emma Clarke has done sat nav clips as well.

  • The RIAA does it again.

Tickly throat, gah. DO NOT WANT. I let the mouse go today, scampering quickly off into the churchyard, hopefully not to get eaten too soon. Fetched an Idler book from [livejournal.com profile] flickgc from [livejournal.com profile] bohemiancoast's (and an Ikea toy that should fascinate Freda nicely), where we had a conversation entirely about children. The more boring I get, the more it amuses me.

Last chance on the poll!
