My back has been hurting like hell (Freda's been demanding piggyback rides ... it's part of the job description) so I collapsed upstairs with codeine and beer. Finally cranked out the above notnews at 11:59pm. I still need one for tomorrow before going to Nye's.

I love redcountess so much I let her install XP on my Compaq Evo N410c laptop, so the shitty, shitty hardware would work. (Liz: "Linux is like the Mooncup. A nice idea, but messy and not for the squeamish.") And of course the official wifi driver's reliably bluescreening. Bup-pow. Now running on an external card.

Update: Apparently driver 1.00 C works. And of course Linux 2.6.27 support was added to orinoco_usb today and will be checked in shortly.
