I have Dreamwidth account codes, for anyone who wants a journal host that actually, um, works. Importing (though DreamWidth ask you to wait until after the DDOS) and auto-crossposting work pretty much flawlessly these days. Email me at dgerard@gmail.com.

Today, this package arrived. )

The Windows software appears to install relatively flawlessly in Wine, too. Which surprised and pleased me. Update: No it doesn't. Not until .NET 3.5 installs and runs properly. Even then, firmware upgrades will require a non-virtual Windows box.

I have a half-smart phone. It is a Blackberry Curve 9300 and it does webby stuff and wifi and 3G and and and I ... like it. God help me. I'm getting tips for suitable apps from [personal profile] arkady, who has an 8900 (which is pretty much the same without 3G). The camera is nowhere near as good as the 8900, which is a bit annoying. The music player does MP3, Ogg, AAC, WMA and FLAC, which not even cheap Chinese S1 MP3s manage. It's slightly annoying that it only takes a microphone headphone plug, not a standard stereo 3.5mm, though understandable. The included headphones aren't great but they aren't awful.

SHINY CRACK THING. MINE!
