The engine's running at the gate.

Today we got an email from the agent confirming most of what we wanted. He doesn't actually say "yes we'll have to break the lease," but he does confirm that he has no idea when it will be habitable again, that he will refund our rent and bond when we've cleared out of the flat (not before — bugger!) and that he will attempt to extract the emergency plumber bill from the owner. I spoke to the money pusher this afternoon and landed an increased overdraft, so we will have cash on hand for rent and bond. Everything is falling into place workably well. IF A LITTLE HECTIC.
redcountess is showing me prospective homes online. Most are around the
Wood Street end of Walthamstow, which means a more expensive Travelcard. But I
understand they have trees and greenery and other such odd things.
Today at work everything broke again, after breaking yesterday (power outage
at the colo). I ate a sandwich at my desk, fixed things I'd hardly seen before
under severe time pressure and felt like a steel band was being tightened
around my skull. Everything works now, though, so we R still teh l33t.
arkady did hand me a hot chocolate with two shots of vodka in it (this
works surprisingly well) the moment I was in the door.
