I doubt we'll be making B-Movie tonight — Liz and I are both utterly buggered, and we still need to dye her hair. Mine could do with refreshing in the near future as well.
The house is pretty good. The kitchen is ridiculously small. And you have to shut the kitchen door or the smoke alarm goes off when cooking anything on the stove. We have a microwave now. All we need is a freezer (arriving Tuesday) and we've got a household. Complete with things far too heavy and awkward to shift without professional assistance. We have Stuff!
Today I got SunONE Web Server 6.1 working. Now I have to transfer the entire damn Java servlet structure over and not drop any pieces. Update: No I don't — I have to copy a library over and change the relevant config file. Then it will Just Work, and I won't have any 4.0 to 6.1 issues at all, nor ill effects from having to do the migration 4.0 to 6.0 then 6.0 to 6.1. None whatsoever! (Diva's Second Law of Softare: Proprietary Software is not just Evil, it's Stupid.)
I so need to sort out my Christmas presents, pronto.
This is a fantastically boring entry. Please validate me anyway by making an equally boring comment. Thank you.

Date: 2004-12-10 05:26 am (UTC)Today I got up. Then I made coffee, fed the cats, drank the coffee and smoked a couple cigs while reading email. After a visit to the toilet I brushed my teeth and took a shower. Then I got dressed, cleaned the cats litter boxes and took out the garbage. ...

Date: 2004-12-10 05:44 am (UTC)Check out the photos (http://acjbrown.fotopic.net) from my current work's Xmas bash. Loads of pictures of people you don't know and will never meet, at a rather boring Xmas do.
(well, there are a couple of me...)

At least you have a kitchen door! Anyway, after cooking in my flat you should be used to loud noisy shrieking whilst juggling hot things. Call it practice for fatherhood. ;-)

Date: 2004-12-10 06:10 am (UTC)I don't know what part of my brain decided that, given I appear to be developing a cold and have a evilly sore throat, Burger King was the best place to obtain something to eat in place of a sandwich, seeing as the sandwich van didn't turn up today. Whichever part of my brain it was, it's not in my good books at the moment.
[Before anyone asks, the part in charge of forming a coherent comment is on holiday at the moment. I think I need to join it.]

Date: 2004-12-10 07:08 am (UTC)My DSL connection keeps mysteriously going away and coming back again. Sometimes if I reboot the WiFi router it comes right back. Usually, though, I have to wait about half an hour -- then, poof! there it is.
Hold on, that's not really boring.
OK, this is better:
In my purse right now I have three lipsticks, a mascara, two condoms, a tampon, a set of possum-fur nipple-warmers, $27.33, three library cards, a credit card, my driver's license, my automobile insurance card, two pens, a red silk handkerchief, my old date book, my new date book, oh look another pen, a collapsible umbrella, four unpaid bills, an old grocery list, and a tin of Ginger Altoids.

"Preservation of New Zealand’s Native Forests requires control of the possum population. All controls used in the past have had minimum impact. Poisoning of possums is an environmentally unacceptable way of control. Only through world wide marketing of possum fur products (Eco fur products: fur teddy bears, davy crockett hats, etc) can this pest be safely controlled. Our Eco Fur products are all of the highest professional standards. Be assured that Eco-Fur is cosy warm and soft."
