I finally got that FUCKING iPlanet Sun ONE Web Server ported and working. In testing now. I hope never to touch the festering piece of shit again in my life. Too bad I've got five more to do.

The most interesting thing I've been doing lately has been attempting to steer the article on Xenu through the Wikipedia Featured Articles process. It's immaculately supported by references.

The new house is a Tardis in reverse: much smaller than it appears. This is because the corridor uses about a room and a half's floor space. One day we'll work out where the heck to put everything.

I have not bought ANYONE'S presents yet. I hate Christmas gift buying so much. I think I'll start picking next year's in June. [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I will likely just spend Christmas at home, as [livejournal.com profile] arkady is off to Wales to spend hers with the kids. We'd have an orphans' Christmas party, but London doesn't have big-city features like public transport on Christmas day, the way places like Perth do.

I'm definitely buying mine in March for next year. One more person tries to disembowel me with a buggy covered in Argos bags, I'll start a revolution and cancel Christmas. Bah, humbug, booo hisss etc.

I too like the disclaimer, and I'm glad it survives somewhere.

"orphans' Christmas party" ... er ... you want to adopt some kids from Barnardo's?.

btw. London *used* to have public transport (bus-only, from 11am - 5pm, selected routes only) on Xmas Day, but it stopped some years ago.

The last time I bought a Sun I was fortunately required to throw the iPlanet CD away :-)

We're having the same amount of luck rounding up people for an orphans Christmas here.
