Well ah jumpt! and fled this fucken heap on doctored wings.

Is there a Windows IRC client that sucks less than mIRC? It does the job, but the interface is baroque (to say the least) and it's really not good enough for its nagging.

Oh, D&D...my fifteen year old consciousness can still totally empathize with the pain of a player whose DM gets a girlfriend. Alas...

If my DM gets a girlfriend he's gonna be in a whole new world of pain. :)

there's a cygwin port of irssi, but that's about it.

I'm using XiRCON, but I suppose it could be said to suck more than mIRC depending on what you like in your clients...

Yep, I use XiRCON too. It's no longer being developed/supported, but it's stable.

I've got a copy of xchat 1.8.10 I like. Fuck'em wanting money for it now that they've utterly ruined it with 2.x

[identity profile] hawkeviper.livejournal.com 2004-12-25 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
it isn't that difficult to download a crack to counter Z's newfound capitalistic views.

[identity profile] loosechanj.livejournal.com 2004-12-25 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but xchat 2.x, having removed the session tree view, just plain sucks.

[identity profile] hawkeviper.livejournal.com 2004-12-25 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
true indeed... having said that, Z just plain sucks.

Hey, there, I am needing contact info for you - phone number and address will need to manifest itself soon! Also realized I'd waited too long to put an order in for cigs, so will try to buy some in person - got caught up in Christmas shopping and forgot to notice that I'm running out of time for other stuff ...

Trillian, maybe?

That Chick tract parody was freakin' priceless.

LARPing leads to furrydom!

And furrydom leads to Yiffing (now with a worksafe frontpage).

"I don't know how people made interesting characters before templates and prestige classes"

That was brilliant.

(And this from a woman with a kittygirl fetish who LIKES a lot of furry art)

I was trying to find a link to a "Something Awful" type site with pictures of LARPing furries, but I seem to have lost it. Damn!

It is pretty scary, isn't it?

But sort of inevitable really when people start fetishising animal costumes...

I wonder who started it... and when?

Probably some Celtic druid in a deer outfit I imagine...

ERC

I don't remember your stance on the emacsen, but I rather like using the native Windows Xemacs and ERC (http://erc.sf.net) (the one from cvs; it's fairly stable, and the tarbell is quite out of date). When I don't use that, I get by with chatzilla.

afaik, x-chat offers a windows version
