My present job is really nice. The pimp who put me onto it is dumber than a sack of hammers. Further evidence comes in him having just sent me another job ad. It's been four months since I started here; generally, the pimp's fee isn't payable if the employee doesn't stay for six months. Well done! Should I respond to this ad?

(No, because it's Linux web programming on a contract. But anyway.)

most get paid after 3 months (though soe firms retain an option to have part of the fee returned up to 9 months later, but normally this is if they find the guy lied to get the job). However most places get back by only paying the commision on basic salary and not bonuses/allowances/overtim/additional pensions and so on. Certainly it would ahve put another 50% on the fee of the agent who got me this job (who also rang me three months and 10 days after i started offering another job).

I have gotten three good jobs through pimps, two of them not dumber than even small quantities of hammers. But it's the feckwits one remembers.
