Our entry to B-Movie was paid for by [livejournal.com profile] ciphergoth and [livejournal.com profile] flickgc, and our drinks came courtesy [livejournal.com profile] hairyears, [livejournal.com profile] steer, [livejournal.com profile] flickgc and a few others I can't remember right now, and offers from [livejournal.com profile] tamaranth, [livejournal.com profile] twicezero, [livejournal.com profile] valkyriekaren, [livejournal.com profile] nisaba and a few others I can't remember right now. I must lose my job more often, and preferably on the morning of a B-Movie night.

Water Rats ran out of Spitfire, Hoegaarden, orange juice, Red Bull and ice last night. Here's to B-Movie!

I am presently hung over. I forgot that drinking heavily causes hangovers. We have a party to go to this evening. [livejournal.com profile] _nicolai_ has been assembling Ikea. [livejournal.com profile] sheridanwilde is watching Dogma.

You could also pimp B-Movie photos for pints... (like, I'll buy you another pint if I can ever see the photos from last b-movie!)

One of these years, I'll make it to B-Movie again. That was remarkably fun.

Of course, it was the only time in my life I was even close to being hung over the next morning. But no, my body couldn't even manage that. It was the "You drank too much, but not enough for me to want to get rid of it. So you're going to feel vaguely poisoned for the next 18 hours. HTH. HAND."

Nevertheless... Sometime this spring, perhaps.

The concept is flawed anyway, it's not drinking heavily that causes hangovers, it's not drinking heavily.

Not exactly. It's not drinking heavy amounts of the right things that causes hangovers.

You seemed to be bearing up with fortitude -- though the beer probably helped. Good to see you. It's been too long.

[livejournal.com profile] damerell mentioned that you'd expressed interest WRT anime night when you spoke to him at B-Movie. Should I throw mail with information at you, and, if so, is the gmail address a desirable place for it to go?

Well, not quite Reading (you get off twenty minutes before the train gets there), but close enough.

Weekly.

Ach, rubbish!

Look, when you start drinking, you don't have a hangover[1]. However, when you stop drinking, you start getting a hangover.

Clearly stopping drinking is the problem!

On a more serious note, I've found that if I spend the last hour or so of an engagment chucking as much water as will fit down my gullet, then I can get away with drinking copious amounts of sauce and avoid the dreaded hangover completely.

[1] Most people don't make a habbit of starting drinking with a hangover, anyway.
