[livejournal.com profile] arkady and I went to the Dev last night for a Sluts meet. The place was full! Also insanely smoky. We left after one drink because of the lack of oxygen and went for dinner at the Super Bowl Noodle Bar.

(The problem is that they need money to fix things, they need to get the people in to get money and they need to fix things to get the people in. But some actual promotion should help get the people in the door. Also, they were noticeably laxer on the dress code. They need a mailing list. And an announcements LJ.)

Happy Jesus On A Stick Day! This morning I woke up at seven, spent an hour and a half with my head buzzing with businessy blur and got up at half eight to abuse Arkady's DSL. Mmmm, broadband. I have worked out my core audience and getting them onside will require things being done exactly right, with unquestionable ethical righteousness. This is not hard given my competitors. MuWAhahahaha.

I just redyed [livejournal.com profile] redcountess's hair insanely bright red. Tonight we shall probably watch Shrek 2.

I'd beleive their claim that they need the money to fix things, and they wont have that money until people start coming back, except for the fact that these are things we've been telling them they need to fix for at least 5 years that I've been going there, back when people DID go there a lot, and nothing has been fixed, not even the cheapest things...

Chairs. They need more chairs. And sofas. And better wine. And some simple food for the hungry.

Someone said that there's a 'next door' (which is empty) which the Dev should have bought up years ago, knocked the wall down and made the place bigger. Looks like they missed their golden opportunity.

I suppose they could start with better wine and new creative seating arrangements to fit more people in. Smaller tables, more chairs. A fine merlot wouldn't go amiss ;)

Hello. I have made it to the UK, so I figured I'd use the internet and say hi, what's up. I might call you tomorrow sometime. Or I might be frightened of strange country codes and red phone booths and run away.

Well boo. I am only here through Thursday morning, but I'll be back through briefly on the 20th of April on my way to Whitby as well.
