If I were going to do anything "normal" with coworkers, it would be fleecing them at poker. I consider this and decided it might not be such a good idea, though.

And you get my new Aspie userpic, yay! *)

It's missing the option for what we did last night - we went down to the local hotel with the various cow-orkers, and had a quiz and got fed and pinted.

(And ou team won a bottle of nice fizz each.)

But Sales and Marketing people are never really normal - they just sell themselves as being that. Of course, Metro being a marketing exercise, well ...

Ok, this is just scary. I hadn't heard of Asperger's Symdrome before and I had to look it up (thanks, Wikipedia). I'm recognising a lot of myself in there. Or a lot of my old self, I should say. Weird, I've printed out the german article for my mom to read... thanks for that.

The only reason I wouldn't go to the nudie bar after work is that I don't make enough money.

On the other hand, I might just be going to a sleazy bar to get drunk with smelly nerds.

Nudie bars on the Internet?

You do realize that those were my only two choices in West Bumblefuq don't you? Except that there are no strip clubs, only the country-western bars and the gangsta rap playing bars (the only difference being the music they play and the number of people dancing.)

On Sundays we got the magic third option of going to church. It's very strange walking down the street on a Sunday morning and feeling like you are in a ghost town because everyone is in church. Then, church lets out and it's like being in a city for a couple of hours because EVERYBODY goes out to eat after church.

I like being in the city. I have options now. Duckie is on his way to indulge me in some of those options now :)

We do BOTH types of music here...

well I'm not normal (imho nobody in Sales & Marketing is "normal") and, I hope, I'm not a "socially-crippled smelly nerd".

I'll admit to being somewhat of a "socially-inept sartorially-challenged geek who uses the internet an awful lot" however and on past online tests I do seem to test out as an aspie ...

I've got ROMs of the original NES DW1 and DW2, and let me tell you, I love playing ancient NES games on my spiffy new PowerBook. *grin* I just beat DW2 and so should get around to downloading further installments. I also have DW ringtones, including the inn music from DW1 as my "new text message" sound. I'm ever so slightly obsessed.

I remember buying 2 as soon as it came out for the NES. *sigh* I never did find DW3 until I thought to myself hmmm, I wonder, now that I'm living in the future of 2004, have emulators progressed past the "total shit" phase and into usability? Well bless my soul they had! To top it off, the package I d/l'ed had, and I swear I am not exaggerating, every single rom ever produced for the NES. I've even got crap I can't play because it's localized for Japan. Graphic demos for pete's sake. It's about 600 or so megs of roms. In terms of storyline, DW3 is my favorite. After that they don't have any connection to previous games.

That's fabulous! Mac emus don't come with bonuses like that. *) I do have the paper walkthrough booklet and map that go with my original physical copy of DW1, though (picked 'em up as a promotion somewhere), including suggested levels for each task and a map that shows where different types of monsters are.

Could I persuade you to email me the ROMs for DW3+ and DQ? I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding them.
