Not-Dead and Buried was in a hired function hall. Way too loud and Nik's CD player kept skipping. But the music was excellent and the tradgoths were very prettied up. We gave the coats their first outing.

[livejournal.com profile] arkady dreamt this morning that she was doing the backups at work, but whenever she tried to eject the previous day's tape it gave her a toasted cheese sandwich instead. There was a big black labrador sitting in the server room next to the rack, so she'd give it the sandwich, which it would eat happily, and try again. The actual tape loader has 8 slots, but in the dream it had a thousand; and no matter which she tried, it would only give her cheese toasties instead of the tape. I think she's been working a bit hard. And needs an old DLT I to gut and install a toaster oven in.

We woke up not horribly hung over and went out to Camden, where Arkady got a PVC corset to go with her PVC catsuit and new coat to celebrate the new job. Hi to [livejournal.com profile] stompyfairy, who we bumped into walking up from Euston. I am insanely jealous of her M'era Luna wristband, i.e. that she has one.

In the afternoon we attended [livejournal.com profile] hazyjayne's flatwarming. [livejournal.com profile] kineticfactory geeked music with Arkady. (I'd like to see him and [livejournal.com profile] flavius_m at it.) It was a beautiful top-floor almost-art-deco flat on a sunny day with indie pop and Sarah wearing a very cute summer dress. I therefore conclude that we were in fact in Perth. Hello also to [livejournal.com profile] ali_anarres and Jo and Kira.

(For further evidence that my metabolism is on crack, Arkady spent the day wearing a PVC catsuit, a corset and a long leather coat, while I wore gauze and shorts and was sweating.)

Arkady and I got back to Walthamstow and fell over *splat*, which [livejournal.com profile] redcountess was already. I fear we failed to make it to [livejournal.com profile] nisaba's. (I called to apologise and Peta pointed out that I was missing out on sharing the last of her Gudangs. Aieee!) Will probably make it to Cambridge tomorrow, though. Right now we're all sitting around while the rats run around the bed.

I discovered that despite a fresh beer delivery on Thursday, I had only three left tonight. Which is the hazard of inviting Australians over on Beer Day. You can tell Australians have been over because the recycling bin is full.
