The boy is called Neo: he's pretty, he's intrepid, he flies and he's dumb. The girl will probably be called "Shao Mao" more than "Madam." (I'd call her Trinity if she weren't so obviously insane.) I'm not dying as badly of kitten today as yesterday. We got some cleaning and tidying done, though I'm still badly hampered by not being able to breathe. The dears have gotten into knocking over the plants — redcountess yelled from the lounge, "OH NO! THEY'VE KILLED BOB!" (A Dracaena marginata. Which is apparently, ahh, poisonous to cats. We're working out what to do about this.) We repotted the plant okay and said "NO." in the Voice Of Satan whenever a kitten got too near.

inulro and lastaii stopped over this afternoon. Jason tormented Shao Mao expertly — he brags of his ability to build a cat toy from any two or three pieces of discarded trash. We spoke at length of the local suburban wildlife and observed one part of it, the ginger kitten next door, climbing a tree and not being able to get down. He eventually fell out most gracelessly. I'm sure our two will join in the local cat chess tournament most enthusiastically.

It's been a lovely weekend in with Liz, and somewhat productive as well.

I recommend spraying the cats with canned air as a don't-do-that. It smells funny, they get a big puff of air in the face (cats hate that), and it doesn't get things wet the way spraying water will.
