“Game chat is the latest communication medium to go from decadence to barbarism without passing through comprehensibility in between — the unspeakable in pursuit of the unintelligible.”— Oscar Wilde.

"stfu n00b" — Mark Twain.

I testing disaster recovery restore procedures today (just OS, disk table and root/var). We had no hot water at home for two days, but it's fixed now. Yay! The cats are getting along a little less worse. The kitaens apparently went outside in daylight today and encountered Arnie, the big ginger tom from next door (who Tom has seen off before this). They still produce stupendous quantities of poo. [livejournal.com profile] redcountess has been very unwell this week, but today she picked up her new glasses! [livejournal.com profile] arkady is still in Wales and I miss her. That is all. p.s. Send more cock.

In a similar vein, there's "I'm doing the wife's sisters on the sly". Irish TV at its best.

Yep, getting /var restored before the hot water sounds like a properly-prioritized disaster-recovery plan to me.
