And the Mediawiki machine transliterators are actually fantastically good. We have an almost perfect one in use on the Chinese Wikipedia (displaying in Simplified or Traditional) and there's a pretty damn good one in beta for SerbianCroatianBosnianWhatever (doing both common spelling standards in both Latin and Cyrillic). I think Kurdish uses one too (Latin and Arabic).
