Neo has taken to using the very large potplant in the lounge as a litter tray. I suppose it's good that he's learning to poo on soil. Gah. Wood chippings or stones will be obtained ASAP.

[livejournal.com profile] quiet000001 has lost all her spoons (they're not even behind the couch), but [livejournal.com profile] arkady and I will be journeying to the Dev later this afternoon in any case (when I've done all my housework). See you there?

Maybe you should put soil in the litter tray?

Damn. I've lost the URL of the people near Stroud who sell reconditioned examples.

Wow, you're right. That poly article was actually pretty fair and balanced. The part about monogamous people living in a fantasy world did make me twitch a bit.

Ah, that's why I kept thinking I could smell a feline accident in the lounge but couldn't actually find it. Good to know I'm not going mad.
If your cats desire a more earthy feeling when taking a dump, perhaps you could add some rock-type litter to their litter box?

My cat went through a phase of that with my big potted palms too. pebbles stopped her. I'm lucky enough to live somewhere that those are plentiful, though! Also, you could try a citrussy essential oil in the soil. It stopped her for a few days at a time until I discovered the pebbles thing.

Also, if you look around, you may be able to find (no, I'm high, or joking) dog litter, which is designed for city dwellers who cannot be botehred to take Widdle Pookie Poodle Poo out for a walk very often. It's a different texture than cat litter and may also do the trick.

Unfortunately, in Europe, where the history is from, people may not have become quite so lazy yet that it's marketed there...

Arkady put lemon oil around the lip of the pot, but I thought maybe a bag of landscaping pebbles from B&Q might do the trick, so thanks for that!

Vicky Hall (Cat Confidential) reckons one per cat, and one spare. We've never gone that way, but it might be worth a try.

Or try various different types of litter. Some cats really, really dislike certain litters.

White pepper also does the trick and sits on top of the soil a little better.

You can't actually dishwash an IBM Model M keyboard. It can be cleaned properly with care, however.

I'm typing this on a 02MAY86 silver label, btw. I also have an 88 and a 90 model.

We have so much in common, David.
