I'm off work again, having not fully recovered yesterday. I'm feeling human enough to start on the housework. It's bloody freezing — Whitby New Year should be really special.

I have a reason for enormous good cheer: my contract has been renewed! The nice thing here is not just another three months' work, but the fact of a contract renewal itself. Which our account manager says banks explicitly love when you ask about mortgages as a contractor. And it's nicer on a CV too.

A huge blue box containing a printer arrived this morning and I'm currently wondering where on Earth to set it up. There are apparently gimp-print drivers for the RX620, though I'd prefer to hang it off the Mac.
