The house looks like it's been hit by a Christmas bomb. I defused it successfully. The baklava (a bonus from Starlight with our Christmas Eve takeout) was very nice indeed. I am now simulating awakeness.

redcountess is looking through the sale selections on Amazon, Play.com and HMV. I suspect we will have three large boxes of DVDs arriving while we are away. In particular, the Stanley Kubrick box is on amazon.co.uk for thirty quid instead of a hundred, and we are so getting it.

Eccleston was such a fool to quit Doctor Who.

I used to cope with family Christmases by having a recovery party in the evening with people I actually liked. Now I just spend Christmas with people I actually like. tom_pusscat was so well-behaved yesterday, sooking at us all lots and not hissing at the kittens until they'd really spent all day irritating the crap out of him.

I wouldn't mind going out this evening or tomorrow, though I doubt it'll be tonight.

I've decided I'll be trying LiveJournal's photo hosting next, though I hate the default gallery style. Has anyone got different styles or know how to tweak it to suck less, e.g. to look like Fotopic?

Its funny how much of a rare privilege it seems sometimes that I actually like my extended family, and look forward to sharing Christmas with them. Its much rarer than I suspected as a child, and its only as an adult I've come to appreciate how lucky I am in that respect.
