Just in time for me (not) to send the cheque: the seller of the camera is no longer registered. "'Not a registered user' can refer to members who have cancelled their membership, or whose membership has been suspended by eBay." Gosh, I wonder which.

Even if they're reinstated, I'm not especially keen on sending them my scarce cash now. (Personal cheque, of course; no PayPal.) What are my eBay obligations here? The answer board is less than clear on the subject ...
