Interview questions from [livejournal.com profile] hazyjayne. More welcome, being as it is, after all, all about me.

1. Why England of all places to live? Surely you have much better weather in Australia.

The grass is always greener. I lived in Vermillion Sands (or "Perth" as the natives call it) for twenty-seven years; as Midnight Oil put it, "Too much of sunshine, too much of sky/But just enough to make you want to cry." Melbourne was better, but after seven years there I'd pretty much done the place. I visited London and knew within three hours I wanted to move here. I think it's moving to a bigger urban concentration each time. Presumably my next options are New York, then Tokyo.

I don't really want to live anywhere else in Britain than London. Though a wormhole link to Whitby would be nice.

2. How come you own nearly 1/2 ton of vinyl?

Assiduous effort, and vinyl is very heavy. That's ... somewhere in five figures of records.

3. Does your camera work when cleavage is not in the picture?

Yes, but not nearly as well.

4. Drink?

Why, thank you, darling. A pint of real ale that isn't Bombadier would be lovely, thank you.

5. Is there anythng you would not say in public?

What I really think in tricky situations. I've learnt diplomacy as a second language and am determined to increase my fluency.

Half asleep here, assumed Perth, Scotland and was puzzling over the too much sun reference till I re-read the whole "Australia" part... :)

Tokyo is neither all that nor a bag of chips (crisps for you, I suppose). New York, however, is. Come visit anytime. We have ample crash space for three. *)

How come you own nearly 1/2 ton of vinyl?

I thought this referred to clothing and was very confused, not because it seemed unlikely that you would own half a ton of vinyl clothing but because the answer to "How come" seemed rather self-evident.

Having finally been to New York, I've got to say that I'd probably rather live there than London, but there's Visa Issues to consider.
