Dreadnought pics are now up; hopefully a few more to come.
I had clean forgotten
feanelwa was popping over yesterday afternoon to grab a shiny new old Ixus 400 (immaculate condition, one owner from new who never took it outside looks like). She had come from a variably pleasant day at the Pride march (GAYS are NORMAL PEOPLE: they are just as STUPID, IGNORANT and BIGOTED as ANYONE), melting in the sun and not quite burning to a frazzle. I grabbed a freshly-charged battery for the gadget and we ascertained it was in the best of working order. She had a sensible outfit for not melting in.
LGBT stands for "lesbians, GAY GAY GAY MEN W00T BOYS GAY TRALALALALALA and tr*ns." (Bisexuals don't exist.) For a subculture that touts the greater artistic sensitivities of (young white middle-class male) gays, the jarringly awful aesthetics are really special. Starting with that fucking rainbow flag.

Date: 2006-07-02 05:10 pm (UTC)You're beginning to sound like the head of costuming at one of the many universities I've attended who was complaining about his bank officer coming on to him. "Why can't those people stay in the closet where they belong?"
(Still bouncing off the walls after yesterday's fiction fest of 15 or so pages and whatever the fuck words so rough they're drafty).

The BiFlag is easier to coordinate with anyway.

Date: 2006-07-04 01:07 pm (UTC)When I was at College ULU Lesbian and Gay Soc (sic) decided it was going to be male-only as women never came along anyway. UCL Lesbian, Bisexual and Gay Society had a small group of women but they wouldn't speak to me as I was bisexual. I don't think there were any others and I didn't actually attend anything.
I'm guessing the T in LGBT means that there are as many T's as there were B's in my day - ie none but we like the name.
