Well, damn. I just found out what happened to thingy.apana.org.au — Frank Copeland was apparently killed in a traffic accident on July 10th. Thingy was taken down and apart in an orderly manner by gurubob soon after.

I can't say I knew Frank closely, but he was a fine and upstanding fellow, a fellow devotee of Xenu and he kindly hosted the other copy of my Scientology web site and various other stroppy legal-threat-attracting web pages, as well as fun@thingy.apana.org.au, which was my main email address for nine years. I shall raise many a *pint* to him for all he did for me. And for you, even if only a little bit and you weren't aware of it. Saving Internet freedom one recalcitrant bastard at a time.

Update: Internet Archive copy of my site. And I've rehosted David Kendrick's famous essay.
