Coming up to three weeks without reading LJ properly. If you have important news, you need to tell me or I won't know.

[Poll #843430]

As well as having tweaked and expanded Blind Lemon Kraftwerk and added another picture, I knocked together Bill Clinton on Linux, pretty much sporked from the incredibly badly-written BBC article. No new Uncyclopediana today, sorry.

I have been using pa2fs with my old Compaq PA-2 MP3 player. The Winders version crashes on XP, but the Leengux version works like a charm. I am now listening to Viva Heads, and *pint* to [livejournal.com profile] hirez.

Lured by the promise of my wifi working, I upgraded my laptop from Dapper to Edgy. Of course, the kernel refuses to talk to the driver. (And is updated more or less daily in any case.) But the antialiased fonts in Kubuntu are so gorgeous.

We almost have a house organised with stuff in. Sky connected today, ISDN next Monday. Yes, ISDN. A week of work, two weeks' holiday, a week of work then my first week of on-call. To say I am shitting myself ...

I'm going to bed now so that I can get up at six so I can get to work at eight so I can leave at four so I can get on a train to Bristol for [livejournal.com profile] medusa and [livejournal.com profile] dr_atheist's wedding reception. Then meeting [livejournal.com profile] girfan Saturday. I want you all to get pissed and snog people at B-Movie for me.

Please comment!

Speaking of Sky... Do you guys have any need for a spare Skybox? I have a taker for my Sky+ already, but I have at least one normal Skybox, plus one of those slimline ones, since we had Sky at the old house and a slimline regular skybox came with the Sky+.

I'm not sure where they are at the moment, mind, but we do have them! :)

It's pretty bad when you can just copy a BBC article directly into Uncyclopedia. And their World Service used to be amongst the best.

Not going to B-Movie.
Tickle in my throat might mean it's inadvisable to snog people, also.
*smooches*

In all likelihood, you'll never have to find out what happens to your pretty antialiased desktop environment of choice when fontconfig shits itself and decides you don't in fact have any fonts at all, causing more or less everything that would try to use it to segfault. (I did, once. But I use twm.)

Do I want to know why on earth you're dealing with ISDN?

Eww isdn. I've read that ubuntu doesn't work with isdn btw - not sure if it's true or not..

Is "not reading LJ" going to be a normal occurance? :( :(...
