Which Online Test Are You?

(Of course I'm not posting my answer. That would be posting a personality test to my LiveJournal, which I swore I'd never do. OTOH, I also swore I'd never get a LiveJournal.)

In other news, CMOT [livejournal.com profile] minusbat and CMOT Diva had some fun last night with an ex-work PC and another ex-work PC. So Pete has a shiny new home box and I have a shiny old one. Now all he needs is to work out what the hell video chip is in a Deskpro EN P866 and get XFree 4 to talk to it.

Blokes fiddling with PCs really is the modern equivalent of blokes fiddling with Cortinas.

Google is your friend here; the search terms Deskpro EN P866 video chipset resulted in a NSTL/SIPSS benchmark report for the Deskpro EN P866.

From that you can see that in the particular machine tested it had an NVIDIA TNT2 PRO AGP card in it.

However some Deskpro EN P866 also have a motherboard (Intel i815E) with an embedded video chipset on it, although Intel's web site doesn't detail exactly what that chipset is.

So its probably best to open up the machine and see if it uses a separate video card or if it uses the video chipset on the motherboard.
