MEO 245.

I'm just listening to Screen Memory, the album by MEO 245. MEO were an Australian new wave synthpop band around 1980-81, who started in Tasmania and moved to Melbourne. They did okay at the time but were all but forgotten within a few years. This album ain't bad. I wanted to write a Wikipedia article about them, but there's no convenient online information sources on them bar a few webpage reminiscences, and my stack of Australian music papers has long since been eaten by termites. Anyone got anything on them?

(I really need to get a paper copy of McFarlane ...)

(duranorak, if you haven't heard this lot you might want to. At least for historical knowledge even if they don't grab you.)

Termites, for real? My last place was infested with them (twice a year or so, when they swarmed, I'd have to turn off the computer and lights and go to bed early otherwise they'd be all over me) and my late 70's - early 80's NME, ZigZags, and (local Miami) Alternative Rhythms and Suburban Relapse are still in one piece.

They are getting quite yellow and brittle, however.

i got screen memory in a second hand shop,felt excited but then disappointed because it didn't have " lady love ".it's good but no msong stands out.is this the second album?

I've no idea! I noticed the version on that blog had one more track than most track listings I've seen ... I've no idea why that either.

Yeah, I think the copy on Ausrock must be the CD reissue then (it has "Lady Love").

I did start a very small Wikipedia article :-)
