No B-Movie for me tonight, as, despite staying home again due to iffy balance, (c) I'm just a bit buggered (b) I still have a blocked left ear and everything is just not right but mostly (a) I have a sleepy little girl curled up on me who would probably be yelling her head off if I weren't here. So she wins an evening with me. It also gives her mother a chance to exhale.

It's been a laudanum day. (The sort where you wish the stuff was still in vogue as a pacifier.) Thank fuck for Infacol. Freda just drifted off to an MP3 of Peter Murphy and Trent Reznor doing "Warm Leatherette." Pete sounds really silly. Not normal (though Normal) lullabye fare, but IF IT WORKS THEN I DON'T CARE. Third Eye also — 120bpm disco is simple, repetitive and I can dance her back and forth to it.

We have on occasion been giving in and showing her television, in the form of videos on YouTube. No way am I letting her near a real telly after seeing the way her eyes lock to the screen and her face goes slack. Drug of the nation!

I had some friends in North Carolina who tried making a version of laudanum. It was good, but not the same. Opium just isn't like it use to be...

As for Peter Murphy, he always puts me into a comfortable state. I wish you a calm evening.

*I hate tv. If I had children, they would have to listen to music all day, and I might throw in some movies on occasion. Other than that, no tv for them. (Probably a good thing I don't have children lol.)

We concur on that last! I hate TV so much. YouTube clips frequently lose my attention within sixty seconds.

Giolla gave me some laudanum in Whitby, and only told me what it was the next day. As far as I can tell it had no effect whatsoever - it didn't even stop my feet hurting, which I think just sucks. Maybe it was just vodka.

I will check out the photos post in a mo, I am hoping to see one of Freda sleeping on you... Our kid will be brought up on a load of hippy and 'gay' wank from me and some heavy-sounding wank from Seb. Neither of us are bothered byt the other's favourites but we have some cross over in style. If you can call it style! Heh, I don't care. His favourite is Reznor and mine's Levs.
