It occurs to me that there should be an island of lost software nutters — or perhaps a fourteenth-century castle in Transylvania — where together their mutual genius can assemble the perfect and ultimate system, maybe a car with two wheels and legs and seven steering wheels. Of course, Tuomo and Schilling are just trying to work out how they can possibly outdo Reiser now.

Off work until after BiCon! Four hours' sleep, up and active at seven. Now I just need to have ANY DAMN MONEY AT ALL until I'm paid on Friday. redcountess got two hours and then went to her first day of library volunteer training even in this weather. (Though it's bright and sunny now.)

I am listening to old-skool '80s goth on over-ear headphones that have actual bass. I feel this is the way it was meant to be done.
