oldson and yellowrocket are moving from Wales to Leeds (there's no work in Carmarthen if you don't speak Welsh). This means arkady's daughters are moving in with us. On Sunday. INCOMING!!

This week consists of coming home after a hard day's computer sodomy and then having to reshuffle the house. Again. My profuse thanks to all those who are coming over to help. I'm also taking Tuesday to Friday next week off to do whatever needs doing then as well.

Oh God my back hurts.

We don't want to move, but may have to. Though we told our landlord of the incoming teenagers today and he reassured us the rent wouldn't be going up. Heh heh. It's a renter's market at present.

Well, we had some idea it was coming. Just a little sudden! Consolidating boxes nicely. nyecamden and feanelwa are coming over today to do housey stuff.

I moved the white couch out the front and the blue couch downstairs last night, because everything else depends on the furniture dance. I am MAN Man, the superhero with the powers of a man! All penis, no brain!

It was only the weekend when oldson finally decided there was just no chance of him getting a job in deepest Wales. Half-term is pretty soon, but it's a suitable break in the school year to move the girls.

I'd noticed that too, and was toying with a move to save a few bob. I found somewhere up the road that's *half* my current rent. It's also half as nice, but it does make one think...

Scarier is that I think it also means I can finally afford to buy somewhere scummy.

Amsterdam fell flat when I got the proffered employment contract that looked really quite dodgy, I declined to sign it until the dodgy stuff was clarified or removed, and they basically refused to change it. I then got a bit of emotional blackmail from the pimp who found me the job trying to cajole me into signing anyway.

Unsurprisingly, I'm not a particularly happy bunny about the whole sorry incident and have had to chalk it up to experience.

Fortunately, I happened to land a contract in Canary Wharf, so I'm sorted for the time being.

I was indeed mildly amused that I started on the same day that there was a lot of furious desk-packing at Lehmans.

Fortunately, I'm not working for a financial institution. Unfortunately, I get to herd Movable Type again.
