On holiday. Bloody exhausted by it so far. Shopping not done either. SEND MORE BRAAAINS. I would love to be down the pub tonight, but there is far too much to do here. And I've done something to my right wrist (fnarr), which doesn't help at all. Whine.

I got referred to a douchebag specialist for a medical issue, called my doctor the next day, filed a complaint, and got a referral to a new specialist. I am no longer a passive-ist.

I am on vacation from medical tests, worrying about medical tests, and thinking about medical things. I am in no immediate danger of dying from my medical issues, so screw them.

Starting January 1, I will be having a year without movies. The only exception(s) will be the 1-3 times that my family bothers to go to the movie theatre.

I have also given up computer games that require running around or otherwise doing nothing between activities that require no more skill than pushing a button. Chuzzle and Bejeweled aren't exactly challenging, but they can be played for 5 minutes and put away at any time. I play on endless mode so there's no waiting around for the end of the game or the next level or whatever. Pop a few colors, feel like I did something fun, get back to the business of being alive.

The business of being alive now includes writing stories, swimming, nesting, and otherwise caring for myself, my surroundings, and my future to greater degrees than i did before.
