It's been a quiet weekend, but I did make it to Bleep Celebration last night. Saw a few bands, saw lots of people. Last year's was the very first tourist event I went to, a few hours after setting foot in London for the first time in thirty years. (Today is my one-year anniversary. Go me!) Got copiously drunk and spent lots of time ligging around the Wasp Factory stall with [livejournal.com profile] allezbleu and Melissa (the future Mrs Eris).

Quick review: Chaos Engine much better live than on record, Greenhaus do identikit EBM, Angels And Agony want to be VNV (PTF era) when they grow up, Sulpher I saw ten seconds of and that's all I need, Sheep On Drugs had enough equipment failures to not come across very well at all - but did flash up lots of pics of netgoths - and Apoptygma Berzerk were much more fun than I'd been expecting.

Spent today feeling seedy, having a productivity factor of 0 and not even pretending to work. [livejournal.com profile] ladylilith arrives on Wednesday morning at fuck o'clock, and I have so much to do. I fully expect Whitby to be the sort of holiday I need a holiday from afterwards. Not that I'm not gonna just cut seeeck, mate. Maaate!

People I have corrupted to LiveJournal: [livejournal.com profile] elisteran, [livejournal.com profile] cdybedahl, [livejournal.com profile] rbarclay, [livejournal.com profile] justinep and [livejournal.com profile] raven_. JOIN THE DARK SIDE. EAT THEIR BRAAIIINNS. THEIR BRAINS TASTE LIKE DELICIOUS CANDY!

My brain, you know.

Quite well off where it is. Though I suspect that after a month of so of LJ, it's going to be somewhat gooey.

*sigh*

It's all your fault, y'know.

I was mildly amused when K. mentioned you in passing the other day as being "still in Perth and fairly stressed". I disabused her of this impression, telling her you were in London, though perhaps a *little* stressed as a tape robot was making you late for a party.

(This was in the context of Sausage Factory people wondering where all the computers are -- they've laid off everyone who knew!)

Happy one-year-out-of-the-country! Believe me, the years absolutely fly by after a while. I can't believe it's been 4½ years for me!! It seems like only last month when I was saying "Fuck, I can't believe it's been 3 years, it seems like only last month when I was saying 'Fuck, I can't believe it's been a year, it seems like only last month when...'"

Good luck with the gotta-do-three-million-things-before-the-s/o-turns-up madness. I know all about that! Do not believe yourself when you say that you can make time to do stuff when she's here!

I saw Chaos Engine at Malediction in Reading, and they were pretty good because;
1) you can slamdance to them.
2) Er.
3) That's it.

I don't care for them recorded, needless to say.

*whimper*

I guess I can use having-my-brain-eaten-by-people-I-haven't-even-met can be my next excuse for a total lack of anything interesting to say in my livejournal. Excellent!

Anyway, all this talk was far too much like hard work. Back to lurking!
