reddragdiva: (nice cup of tea and a sit down)

Please kill me.

The older teenager is descending into deep spod. All-nighters on the laptop. Attempting to make cheese on toast by putting the cheese into the toaster with the bread.

Ill, not going anywhere. Exertion not possible, hot and cold sweats, gastric fun. Yay flu! I have a notnews in mind but no coherent thought to string it together. [livejournal.com profile] nyecamden is going to Vagabond's to have fun for me.

Toastabags (http://shop.toastabags.com/epages/es109145.sf) are your friend - well, your toaster's friend, anyway. Couple of quid for a pair in Tesco, very nice toasties. Teenager proof. :)

exactly what I was going to suggest; more practical and cheaper than using the grill to do this.

Small mercies; at least it wasn't beans on toast.

larval stage? or all night myspace sessions? hand them a compiler and some math textbooks to ensure the former.

give them a unix box and a paper copy of the jargon file and some tea and maybe it'll evolve into something useful?

You should ask [livejournal.com profile] angua about her unremittingly miserable nightshift GM job for it.

ETA: which thankfully she quit.
